What I realized about my ANXIETY
Years ago I LIVED with anxiety. It was just a part of my busy life. Work was stressful. I was stressed with taking care of everything at home and my friends always seemed to need something. I loved giving. In fact, I was quite proud of myself for everything I was doing. People would comment that they didn't know how I did it all, and I would respond by telling them that I didn't know either!
Since then I've been working on getting rid of my anxiety. Of course I knew that I had done massive improvement to my levels of anxiety because I don't feel stressed and stretched and scattered anymore.
But this week, I had an amazing experience. I had anxiety! While this may seem odd to be writing about so excitedly, I am over the moon about it. You see, up until then, I had been working forward to clear out fear and stress that was causing the anxiety. I would find a few more pieces and clear them. In fact, this was the main reason that I became an Intuitive Energy Healer. I was working on getting rid of anxiety and a couple of other things by going to an Energy Healer. I made such beautiful progress and I LOVED moving energy. I started looking for other things to clear out and before I knew it I had so many certifications that I started using them to help others. I hadn't looked back much.
This opportunity of having anxiety allowed me to stop for a second, rather startled, and realize that I used to LIVE this way. I was grateful for the realization. I quickly used some of the tools that I had learned to shift the energy to where I was no longer anxious.
The thing is that anxiety in itself is not bad. It's kind of like pain. We don't want to LIVE in pain, but when we are touching a hot stove, we want to know right away so that we can move our hand and not be injured. We are actually grateful for pain, except when it won't go away. It's the same with anxiety. It is actually a red flag going off to allow us to shift the energy of the situation in order to get back to a healthy state. The problem is that we don't always know how to shift the energy.
One of the tools that helped me to shift the energy this week was that I was so grateful for the realization that I haven't lived like this for so long now. Gratitude really helps to shift energy, but gratitude without FEELING grateful isn't gratitude.
